NBSC’S SUGA EXTENSION PROJECT HOLDS FIRST SESSION WITH MANOLO FORTICH SANGGUNIANG BAYAN
Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Manolo Fortich on August 4, 2026, the proponents of SUGA: Inner Development Goals (IDGs) in Public Sector Leadership and Governance Program conducted their first session on August 19, 2026, during the 33rd Regular Session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Manolo Fortich.
The one-hour session focused on the first IDG dimension, “Being,” encouraging the participants to pause and reconnect with the purpose behind their leadership: the reason why they chose to serve and lead. Vice Mayor Reynaldo L. Bagayas, Jr. and the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan gamely participated in the reflective activities and discussions, creating an engaging and meaningful space for self-reflection, deeper purpose, and leadership renewal.
SUGA is a six-session experiential and reflective leadership program developed by NBSC to introduce local government officials to the five dimensions of the Inner Development Goals: Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting. Through reflective dialogue, peer sharing, storytelling, and collaborative activities, the program aims to help local leaders connect their values with their leadership practices and translate these insights into meaningful action for the community.
The first session marks another step in the continuing partnership between NBSC and the LGU of Manolo Fortich in promoting values-based, compassionate, people-centered, and sustainable local governance.
